Paper Abstract:      To investigate the effects that experiences in programming have on parents’ concerns about programming education in elementary schools, a survey was carried out before and after parent-children workshops. Participation in the programming workshops seemed to promote parents’ understanding of programming, boost their expectations, and decrease their anxieties about introducing programming education to primary schools. Moreover, attitudes and confidence in supporting children at home were improved through participation in the workshop. Since the number of participants in this study was limited, it is necessary to carry out the survey with more participants in the future, followed by detailed analysis.
